I read a lot of the things that are written here, but I rarely comment. I am just writing to say “thank you” to all of you steadfast brothers and sisters for raising your voices against these vampire merchants. May Allah bless you all. I’ve been saying the same things for the past 20 years.

My attention to this issue first began when I was in college. I came home for spring break to discover that one of my male friends was leading protest marches & a boycott call against the local vampire Arab merchant. This vampire had attempted to molest a 12 year old girl from the neighborhood. He had made the mistake of assuming that she had no male protectors [like so many Black girls don't have any protectors]. My friend and other young Black men stepped forward to demand justice for this girl.

Furthermore, the danger caused by these vampires isn’t just physical & financial. As Brother Kwame noted, these vampires & their relatives often presume to lecture us about our deen. Truly, your words are a public service.

Sister Lelia there have been so called shaykhs who came amongst the indengious muslims and try to justify robbing banks in darkufr.
This all under the giuse of joining and participating in the global jihad.Praise be to Allah that there were older brothers and imams of our community who had heard and expierence this insidious and irresponsible talk before.As far as these rougues stores go we have to expose these scoundrels and once in for all put a end to these
expolative proprietors to business in our community.

African American Muslims need to forget about the myth that we are all part of the “Ummah” and address their problems because no Islamic organisation will do that for them. No need to sit through lectures about Palestine or honour killing when it doesnt affect you. I am sure those store owners will get a fatwa from back home telling them selling anything in Dar al Kufr is halal.

It was first day of Ramadan for a one of the owners in one of the Yemenis cartel stores in my neighborhood.I walked in brought a bag of chips and began to eat them the brother said akhee its Ramadan your supose to be fasting.I decided to go with local sighting that was decision of the Masjids in my locality.This brother along with his family were going with the sighting from overseas.The brother kept telling me I was wrong for waiting until the next day to start my fast.I finally told the brother besides your not fasting he,respondedwhat do you mean?I went on to tell him the object of the fast is to abstain
your not when your selling beer,pork, cigarettes and lotto.He agreed when I explained myself to him .Business went on as usual the continue explotation of poor black folks.One day akhee dont worry Im going get a halal business.These are same people who want to teach you your din or look at you in digust for being black.Lets shut them down!

Br Abdur- Rahman just to inject some serious humor. Some ignorant people will think this joke is only about black people, but it is becoming a white reality also. In light of this post sadly some mommas daddys will point to the corner store owner as daddy.

A woman walks into the downtown welfare office, trailed by 15 kids …

“WOW,” the social worker exclaims, are they ALL YOURS???”

“Yep they are all mine,” the flustered momma sighs, having heard that question a thousand times before. She says, “Sit down Leroy.”

All the children rush to find seats.

“Well,” says the social worker, “then you must be here to sign up. I’ll need all your children’s names.”

“This one’s my oldest – he is Leroy.”

“OK, and who’s next?”

“Well, this one he is Leroy, also.”

The social worker raises an eyebrow but continues. One by one, through the oldest four, all boys, all named Leroy. Then she is introduced to the eldest girl, named Leighroy!

“All right,” says the caseworker. “I’m seeing a pattern here. Are they ALL named Leroy?”

Their Momma replied,! “Well, yes it makes it easier. When it is time to get them out of bed and ready for school, I yell,’Leroy!’

An’ when it’s time for dinner, I just yell ‘Leroy!’ an’ they all comes a runnin.’

An’ if I need to stop the kid who’s running into the street, I just yell ‘Leroy’ and all of them stop. It’s the smartest idea I ever had, namin’ them all Leroy.”

The social worker thinks this over for a bit, then wrinkles her forehead and says tentatively, “But what if you just want ONE kid to come, and not the whole bunch?”

“I call them by their last names.”

In my neighborhood there was caucasion girl who was impreganted by one of the arabs who worked in the store.He got deported and she was left all alone with the baby.This particular store this indivual
worked actually sold haram products right directly under the masjid. This store recently closed downdue to internal dispute amongst family members.
