Singer John Legend, in my opinion the musical heir to Luther Vandross, offers up some very solid advice on how to achieve success and attain one’s goals. I am positive that this is the message of the hour, especially as it comes from someone who is himself an extremely successful African American male. What better message could there be right now in the wake of electing our first Black president? Yes, the economy is definitely on the ropes but we’ll pull through as we have always done. I think Legend’s advice here reflects perfectly that spirit of boundless optimism.
