I Didn’t Sign On For This!!!

Posted: March 11, 2008 in Uncategorized

A reader brought the following video to my attention. I had not seen anything like this before, but this only makes me more firm in my thinking that this DEPRAVITY is NOT Islam. Is this the “Islam” that they expect us to teach to our children? Is this something that Muslims should be proud of? Next time CAIR or MAS tell you that they are protecting Muslims, think of this sick video because this is what they represent. Are there any condemnations on CAIR’s or MAS’s website of these monstrous videos? (Please someone send me the links to the condemnations) more below the fold

I wonder if Disney is getting any money from the copyright infringement

When a Western mind (Muslim or not) sees this, it is offensive and it is not “Islamophobic” to be disgusted by this child abuse. This is SICK – PERIOD

When we in the West accepted Islam, we did not sign on to this and there is no way you are going to convince me that it is from Islam

  1. IBN ABDUL HAQQ says:

Asa understand your anger but Inshallah every now and then throw in something Islam has done right. like has it changed your life and the lives of your companions. Dont go all sensitive on me just wondering thats all.

This is not Islam akhee. It is depravity trying to be passed off as Islam

  3. salafiburnout says:

This was disgusting. I did not know that this kind of thing was being taught to children. This is insane.

  4. IBN ABDUL HAQQ says:

Asa Look my brother, I am a older brother who supports much of what you say,of course this is not Islam. My point is lets light more candles
(supply Quran and Sunnah solutions) as well as curse ours and others darkness. Call me want you wish , but I believe Islam has the answers of all of todays problems.

For example more of the teachings of the Quran should be taught and followed

Say, “People of the Book! Come to a proposition which is the same for us and you-that we should worship none but Allah and not associate any partners with Him and not take one another as lords besides Allah.” If they turn away, say: “Bear witness that we are Muslims.” (Surah Al ‘Imran: 64)

When people act in the light of this spirit of love and tolerance imparted by Qur’anic moral values, Shaitans stratagem aimed at turning civilizations against one another and making the world the scene of bloodshed and war will, by the will of Allah, be thwarted.

  5. Abu Usamah says:

This sort of propaganda is right out of the good ole USA’s dehumanizing handbook (right there on pg 187). Need I remind you brother we are not too far removed from when photos of Blackamericans being lynched were sold as post cards and lychings were attended to by whole communities of white people.

Many of our people consider Nat Turner to be a hero, I do not. There was a time when I did, but when I found out what he actually did I was appalled. The bottom line is that he just SNAPPED went delusional and started killing, that is what oppression does.

From my understanding Islamically oppression is worst than slaughter, and I can see why. If people are slaughered there’s a chance that they could be marytred, but oppressed can be driven to act irrational and unIslamic acts such a suicide or indescriminant killing.

Just as the distorted teachings within the NOI could not exist in the absence of the esteem sapping oppression inflicted on Blackamericans by their white countrymen. This sort of propaganda couldn’t exist without US sactioned Israeli oppression.

Also not so long ago uncle sam’s entertainment companies were pumping children with these similar notions of grandur, no retreat and no surender to US children. Even now I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard on television and radio that the US is the greatest nation on earth and leader of the world. “we have to weed out the Islamists”

Before it was to fight the “Evil Empire” now the “Axis of Evil” the US have mastered it, now it has been exported, this has nothing to with Islam or “Islamism” I agree.

Yet I see no difference in this and growing up playing “cowboys” and Indians or singing along with GI Joe, Captain America or Daniel Boone.

So my point is yes we having to call our brothers back to the Quran and Sunnah, from this foolishness, yet I could care less what the western mind thinks.

  6. Abu Usamah al Aswad says:

As much as this saddens me that children are being affected. Lets not pretend that as children we all haven’t heard the American mantras

praise the lord and past the ammo or kill’em all and let Jesus sort’em out

So when a Shaykh says we dhikr to the beat of an AK-47 or in this case having children sing that their reply is the sound of an AK-47

While it is not Islam it is American the only difference I concede is that in the US the production values are a bit higher.

    Ma’a Salaam

  7. JT says:

    Abu Usamah

So you are saying that Islam DOES call for this? Are the oppressors our teachers now? Because THEY did it, now we can do it?? Do you also believe that because Palestinians are oppressed that it is permissible for them to sell beer in black communities?

  8. IBN ABDUL HAQQ says:

Asa Abu Usama makes a point. The republican candidate for president
thought it was funny to sing BOMB,BOMB, IRAN .Also all were taught the slogan of the old west The only good injun is a dead injun. The west can pretend to be shocked but genocide is an acquired taste.

My gifted brothers realize European people are just better at the extermination process. From the massacre of all Muslims and Jews (and quite a few Eastern Christians) when the Crusaders reached Jerusalem in 1099 to the massacre of all the Jews in Buda (not yet attached to Pest across the Danube) when the “liberating” Habsburg armies retook the citadel at the end of the 17th century, Europeans have just been better organized for genocide.

The historical patterns are clear: When European people feel sufficiently threatened – even when the threat’s concocted nonsense – they don’t just react, they over-react with stunning ferocity. One of their more-humane (and frequently employed) techniques has been ethnic cleansing. Hiroshima and Nagasaki weren’t firework displays.

  9. Abu Usamah al Aswad says:

To answer your questions, No. No. No. No. JT, since you could not comprehend my previous posts let me spell it out for you. This type of proganda is unIslamic and should not be employed on the basis that is it not in accord with “ISLAMIC” precepts of keeping children from war and is offensive to those who understand the deen-ulallah, not because of western thought (which has no moral authority)

I fully agree with Abdur Rahman in rejecting this on the basis that it is against to teachings of Islam to allow children to be involved in war.

However, since my brother’s statement “When a Western mind (Muslim or not) sees this, it is offensive” seems to infer that the western (and by extention American) thought is somehow intrinsically immune or rather in opposition to using dehumanizing war propagada aimed at children, I felt obligated to contextualize the lack of moral authority of western thought.

In the US Blacks, Japanese, and Vietnamese have all been targets of dehumanizing proganda created for children, albeit in more sophisticated manners, so as I said “this has nothing to with Islam” however the notion that it is against the western value system is silly.

Not to hijack the thread but, with the exception of suicide attacks which are unIslamic acts of desparation EVERY terroristic tactic and weapon of mass destruction known were pioneered or created by the “western mind”.

When comes to these tactics and the western mind, to paraphrase Dolemite ” they had mastered IT, before Palestinians knew what to do with IT.

Sorry JT I do not suffer from ADD nor do I get my history from sound bites on TV.

  10. rahma says:

Is it these organizations’ job to condemn every stupid thing some muslim somewhere has done? If so, that would be their full time job.

How is this MAS and CAIR’s fault? How is this what they represent? I don’t get the connection.

  11. Kwame Madden says:

This video is deplorable and also a contradiction to the teachings of
islam.Marching children off to war or brainwashing them to adopt
this filthy proganda in the name of defending the ummah is outright
despicable.May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala reward you for putting a disclaimer on this retrograde jihadi call.Abdullah ibne Masud Radiyallahu anhu said; He,who helps his people inunrighteous cause, is like a camel that falls into a well and is being pulled out by his tail.
This hadith is in Abu Dawud collection.Commentary Pulling out a camel byits tail is an excerise in futility, because a camel cannot be pulled out from a well like this.Similary, helping people unjustly is equally futile, for people cannot be put on the right track like this.
This is on page 452 in the chapter rights of muslimsin the book Muntakhab Ahadith. I can just imagine how many more videos like this are out there being used to recruit future sucide bombers. These are children who minds are precious gems they must be protected from these depraved teachings.Leave that nonsense in homecountry we dont need over here.We will continue to tell people it is wrong with out any apolagy.May Allah reward all those who written on this issue you are a intelligent bunch of brothers and sisters.

  12. asa,

You really need to start connecting the mas and cair link because I don’t see the connection at all. you can with ease go to either site and see pages of condemnation from these groups. I have never seen them support any childrens programing of this kind or make excuses for it. to imply that they do is in poor taste. at the very least you could have checked out their websites for a official stance.

that isn’t to say that some members might feel this way personally. only Allah swt knows but to associate blame directly on these org’s as a whole without even checking their websites or giving them a call and asking them their official stance to a particular issue you have is illresponsible.

do unto others brother as you want them to do to you.

  13. These are certainly sick and unislamic videos Brother Abdur-Rahman. I must agree with others above in not understanding why you are on this relentless onslaught against MAS and CAIR as if either organization made these videos. It is perfectly fair for your to disagree or to criticize, but please akhee let the criticism be fair. You points are very valid about the store owners and the celebrations, but you are overshooting and over generalizing

  14. Sh. Mahmoud Ibrahim al-Amreeki says:

    Dar ul Islam / Iqaamatiddeen

The world is not black and white. The video presented was not produced in a vacuum. It was produced by a people who are the victims of one of the most horrible and hated crimes identified by the United Nations, the crime of ETHNIC CLEANSING. And we cannot sit in our arm chairs or the local libraries and get up on our high horse and pretend we that we somehow have the answer. At best we can say that it is ‘morally reprehensible but politically understandable’.

Sometimes we view these things through the eyes of our realities, but our realities are not the only realities. Anthropologists used to make that same mistake when evaluating the culture of some ‘lesser developed’ peoples as against their own expectations, its called ‘mirror-imaging’.

“Your biggest fear is getting a ticket while you cruse your Cadillac, my fear is that the tank that has just left will turn around and come back.” (Outlandish)

I’m sure the Native Americans instructed their youth in the honor in standing up for themselves with the reality of their impending obliteration knocking on their front door. What would we have had them tell their children, ‘we are about to be wiped off the face of the earth so lets’ think about something else’? No!

So we must respect the ‘grey areas’ of our experience. You are too young to remember Leopoldville. Some horrible stuff happened there in the fight for independence, but that’s war. And it’s not Leopoldville anymore, it’s Kinshaasha, capitol of the Congo.

  15. Sister Seeking says:

    Salaam’Alaikum Brother Amin/Abdur Rahman/Charles/Jamerican/Margari/Marc/Tariq

Alhamdilal, it’s so good to see us “loving” ,and “caring” for ourselves– even if it’s through a blog. I look forward to the continuation of this series, and more of your work in the future. Don’t allow any one to tell you all, you don’t or can’t make a difference– we can all make a difference however humble it may be.

Also, I’d like to piggy back on what Brother Kwame said on Abdur Rahman’s blog. I’d love to see you all come together and form some type of virtual community. Perhaps start a radio station online as well. I’m willing to pay a monthly sum if money is an issue( provided that it’s legal and secure). I firmly believe in putting your money where your mouth is.

I also want to see more discussions or articles about the youth. I’d love to hear from your spouses. Share your positive parenting experiences within the light of Islam. What about starting a blog for young people( provided it’s a safe and well moderated) forum. Let’s pump so healthy, empowering, and “nurtureing” stuff into our youth. Let’s send the message we want to connect and we truly care.
